Gap Year To Fix My Mental Health

Hi I could really use some advice,
I've struggled with CPTSD and severe anxiety for various reasons throughout the last few years. I assumed these would dwindle with time but I'm very easily triggered by any form of stress and of course exams and school counts towards that.

I want to go to uni, for sure, I've got offers from good unis in good courses and I want to go but I'm not sure if I should. Do you know anything about taking a gap year for mental health? What kind of things could be helpful? What if the missing out of uni life freaks me out as much as being there?
I used to get panic attacks going to school and being in an environment where I felt ' trapped ' or like I couldn't ' escape '. A therapeutic gap year does sound nice and could work but I think the longer you try to put off uni, the more you will regret it and your anxiety will most likely heighten due to the fact that you have been away from that environment for so long. Bite the bullet like I did. and go for it!
