Independent Student - Household Income

I am currently in the process of applying for teacher training SCITT with PGCE. The teaching side of the course is unsalaried. I'm not sure whether I will be doing this full time or part time yet and whether this will affect the amount of loan I am entitled to?
When I start the course I will be 25. I currently live with my parents but understand that it is only my income that will be considered as I will be an independent student. Is this correct?
When I start the course I will need to quit my current full time job. Therefore will my household income considered to be nil and should I put this on the application?

Hi Amy, as you'll be over the age of 25 you'll automatically be classed as an independent student. As a student we do not take your income into account. Regards, Aisha
