student finance help! living with siblings?
hello!
so i’m currently in a somewhat unique position where circumstance has meant that i’m moving out of my mum’s house and into a new place with my brother and his boyfriend. does anybody know how this will affect my student finance? i was originally just going to calculate it based on my mum’s income since she is the only parent that i currently live with, but im not sure if this would still be the case.

Your household income assessment is based on the household income of whichever parent is supporting your application - it’s not about who you currently live with.
If you are irreconcilably estranged from both parents then you would be classed as independent but that would require evidence that you aren’t in contact with them at all.
