What happens with your DSA equipment if you don't get into university?

I have applied for my DSA allowance and I am receiving my specialist equipment in a week or so.

Say that I don't reach the entry requirements for my university of choice, what will happen to the stuff I will get? Has anyone had a similar situation in the past?
