Does a relationship change when going from online to real life

I heard that moving a relationship from online to in real life, causes previous issues in the relationship become insignificant because being together in real life is a big difference. Wondering what everyone elses opinion is on this?
It can resolve some issues, cause others, and make some issues that were always going to be there become more apparent. It'll take a lot of patient communication one way or another.
Er…of course an online relationship changes when it transitions into real life…

But how exactly does it
Online relationships are not really real relationships.

They are just pen friends with modern technology.

You don't know enough about the other person via online only communication to be able to tell if you should become their sexual partner and boyfriend / girlfriend / husband / wife or not.

You can only find that out via real life time together.

Most of the time, people in real life are worse than how they came over online. Sometimes they're better. Sometimes equally good but different. But most of the time worse.
