Tonight wasn't good. Just wasn't feeling strong.

Press:

72 x 5/0

First set pretty difficult. Not sure why I couldn't get any more on the second set, just never had any strength in me. Wrists also not liking these much.

Lat pull downs:

70 x 8/8/8/8

Okay. Started to record the weight I do on these, with the aim of progressing them.

Then home.
Good, quick session tonight.

Deadlifts:

190 x 5
170 x 5/5

Overall felt quite good. Yanking the bar a bit at the start, so will have to sort that out, though.

Then home.
Decent enough session this evening.

Squats:

145 x 5/5/5/5/5

Not too bad except for the last rep or two of the later sets. I seem to fatigue quite easily, so want to work on being able to do more reps and sets. Did these beltless.

Bench press:

90 x 5/5 - paused
90 x 3/3 paused

Not done this in a few weeks now so its decreased a bit. Felt heavier than it should.

CGBP:

75 x 6/6/6

Not too bad.

Then home.
A light session tonight. Had bad DOMS from Saturday.

Squats:

120 x 5/5

Light squats.

Press:

70 x 5/5/5

Quite difficult but these haven't been going well recently.

Then home.
Tonight was really bad...

Deadlifts:

195 x 0/0
120 x 3/3

195 just wouldn't budge. Did some triples with 120 which felt really heavy... just wasn't feeling it tonight. Tried pull ups but again that wasn't working.

Then home.
A quick one tonight as I got in relatively late and didn't really have much of a plan...

160 x 5
120 x 5/5

160 was really difficult, so rather than move on I did some lighter back-off sets.

Power cleans:

60 x 3
70 x 3
80 x 3
90 x 2/1

Not done these in ages. Not catching them correctly as wrist not liking it.

Then home.
Another quick one tonight. Not eaten much today and not much time tonight.

Bench press:

80 x 8/6/6/6 - paused

Was hoping for 8s, but not much rest between sets and just not a strong night.

This didn't feel good at all; form not good.

Okay session this evening. A very quick one as I got there not long before closing time.

Missed the last one of 195 (was hoping for five) but could have been worse given last time I tried to deadlift.

Just wanted to get some sets and reps done, as 160 x 5 was brutal last time.

80 x 8/8/8 - paused

Going to try higher reps for a bit.

Chins:

bodyweight x 2/2/2/2/2

Wanted to test these out to see how my wrist would fare.

At the moment, about 102-ish. Down from about 105. Not really intentional, but not unintentional either as I haven't been eating to gain weight recently.
Not a good session tonight really...

SSB squats:

up to 100 x 5

Tried the SSB to see what it's like. Had quite a bit of hamstring and glutes DOMS. As this forces you to stay pretty upright, it doesn't use those muscles as much, so the DOMS didn't affect things much. Feels awkward and heavy on your traps, but then I'm not used to holding stuff up there at the moment.

Press:

72 x 2/3/2

Disappointed with this...

Chins:

bodyweight x 2/2/2/2/2

Not too bad.

Then home.
Not a good session tonight.

Deadlifts:

195 x 1/0

Possibly a grip issue again...

Barbell rows:

90 x 4

Just felt really heavy.

Chins:

bodyweight x 3/3/3/3/3

Not too bad.

Average session tonight. Wasn't feeling up to much but some things went better than expected.

Squats:

120 x 5/5

Light squats. Felt awkward and left thigh/adductor felt a bit off.

Press:

60 x 8/8/8

Never thought these would go well at all I tried to do a set, perhaps too soon after the last warm-up, and never got any.

Deadlifts:

160 x 5

I think the hook grip was the hardest part here, although deadlifts haven't been going well for me recently so glad to get in a set.

Then home.

Quite hard.

Bench press:

82.5 x 8/8/8 - paused

Also quite hard. Hopefully higher reps on the bench for a while helps.

Not liking these. Probably won't do them again.

Press:

62.5 x 8/8/7/1

Overall not too bad, but by the last set on the last few reps I was quite fatigued and another one just wouldn't go up. Rested a bit and tried again, but nothing there.

Chins:

bodyweight x 4/4/3/3/3

Not too bad.

Did quite a bit of lacrosse ball work between chins.

Then home.
Really bad one this afternoon...

Not too bad. I don't think that trying to progress higher reps is the way forward but trying to add them in as back-off works well I think - just not tonight; maybe not enough rest.
