Hi there! I am a current Swansea student and previously lived in Fiji. I found the move daunting as it is quite a distance away but overall it was a smooth process. In terms of change, the UK weather took some getting used to especially in the winter months but the location of Swansea really helped. Both campuses are near the beach and have excellent links for outdoors activities!

The university has a lot of student societies that helped me integrate well. And if you are in the stages of visa application and sorting travel/accommodation, the university offered a lot of help. They also invited me to webinars to prepare me for the first few weeks. They even have a shuttle bus that picks you up from the airport to make it easy on the travel anxiety.
