Student finance repayment

On Friday I wanted to cancel my maintenance loan however it was too late as I received payment today. Will I be able to send this back?

On the website it says “You should only make extra repayments if you think you can pay off the full balance before the loan term ends” what if I’m unable to pay the full balance before it ends?
