How do I stop a man pursuing me
I think someone at college has feelings for me, but I'm not 100% sure. I don't feel the same and, if we both get the grades necessary, we'll probably be studying the same subject at the same uni next academic year. They text me often and it's getting worrying cos I don't want uni to be awkward. Is there any way to put them off without embarrassing both of us by explicitly acknowledging that I think they might fancy me?
This might be the worst advice ever but instead of doing that, just act natural. Be yourself and you don't necessarily have to hang out with the guy.
It would be embarrassing for you to tell him you're not interested when he wasn't interested to begin with. That being said, it is likely that he likes you. I find it hard to believe girls misinterpret a guy's behaviour/Intention. Still, there is a chance you could be wrong.
Just don't entertain his flirty behaviour. He'll get the memo.
