yeah its not a great time, but if you are good enough you'll pass lol I did mine at 11:11am, arguably best time to do it, the roads were empty
8am not the best in general for school runs. Best time around 11am or before the next school rush.

I missed your post at the time but I would have said that busy times are often better as you are just trundling along with traffic.
