SFE, estrangement and benefits.
Hi,
I’m starting a new course in September 2023, and I have been estranged from my parents now since I was 16 (I’m now 20). I have filled out my SFE application and just sent in my estrangement form.
I’m just wondering, what entitlement does this give me. I’m currently on disability benefits as well. I just want to have an idea of my financial situation so I know what I will be receiving, since there will be a big money change at that time.

Estrangement means that you will be assessed as an independent student. Your household income will be your unearned income plus the income of any partner/spouse instead of being based on a parent’s income
