i am seeing very little improvement in ucat even after revising alot

hi, i am about to sit my ucat in 15 days as i been revising for 3 weeks straight now giving 4 to 5 hours to ucat everyday but seeing little to no improv. i am getting no more than 550 in my vr and no more than 570 in my qr. although i saw so much improv in my abstract reasoning i am starting to go down hill from 700 to 500 in my recent test. is this normal because i have tried everything. i make sure i go over the wrong answers first before checking what went wrong. i note the things i get wrong but its not much help. is this normal because i am getting anxious i am going to do extremely bad in my test

My UCAT exam is in September (I was meant to sit mine this Monday but decided to reschedule bcuz of the same fear T-T).
I've been studying for about a month now too~ I'm not seeing any increase above 600 for any of my sections.
It's definitely quite disheartening when everyone's scoring 2900+ on our feeds, but let's get through this together!! :h:
Let us know how you get on! We're wishing you all the best!

Oh no! I hope a later date pops up for you soon!
When I wanted to reschedule mine, I just kept on checking the site; The lack of dates felt hopeless at first too but one became free in a different city!
Ofc, if you don't have the means to travel, just try refreshing your local test centre's dates!
There's bound to be one that comes up soon (due to people cancelling or rescheduling).

For those extra 10 days, do you mean spending more money to renew a paid subscription to a UCAT resource?
I get what you mean by that if you were! My plan when my Medify subscription ends is to try out free UCAT resources like PassMed, 6Med, Medic Mind, The Medic Portal, UCAT Ninja along with the UCAT Consortium & YouTube tutorial stuff too... (not sure how good they are, but anything is better than nothing atp).
For now, hang tight and study as if your test was never rescheduled! <-- My parent's words after they scolded me for rescheduling the exam (´_¨`)9.
Once a good date comes up (#manifestingforyou), reschedule for then and absolutely smash the UCAT like ik we will! Good luck ! :h:

hey, i sat mine last summer (finding out today if i get into med lol) and i think you'll be fine !!

for vr - identify the key words in the question, usually you can then spot those keywords in the extract very quickly and pick out the one sentence relevant to your question
qr - itll help if you learn to identify and skip all the long multistep questions, so that you at least pick up all the easier marks
ar - take a break honeslty if you were getting 700 youll be fine, it might just be overworking yourself

i had the same issues with my performance declining in the days before my ucat, but i came out with 2840 band 2, so dont stress and keep your prep to an hour or two a day, no more
and definitely dont do any prep on the day of your test

also if youre using medify: i found vr in the real thing easier!

.really, thank you ur filling me up with some confidence. i am finding qr questions really hard the working out for most of the mocks is so complicated and i simply dont understand them. now i did great in my gcse maths but qr is giving me a tough time. how did u find it when u first started revising for it. can u give me some advice on how to tackle them. most people tell me to use keyboard and stuff but i am not even getting the bases right of understanding the question. i find percentage question easy for the most parts as well as speed time distance. but the rest i dont think i can tackle through them in a limited time.i am using medify btw.

i got 650 in my decision making and abstract reasoning in the current mock i did. and 630 in my vr but i think that was just luck. i have no hopes of getting more than 550 in that section. also i am getting band three in my sjt. do u think i would be able to pull this of based on the scores u told u. btw u did an amazing job on ur ucat. i am impressed

Hoping you do well and we'll pull through this together- im also averaging around 2400 overall in my mocks and not getting any higher, but at this point all we can do is just keep working hard. And I also hope u find a later date! Do u reckon I should move mine to a later date? all the later dates are during school time and im not sure if I want to be revising for ucat and preparing for mocks that month.
Im glad that im not the only one finding qr tough- some of the questions have so much data to work with and sometime I find myself taking ages on the easier questions.
ive also been using a laptop for practising since I dont have access to a pc/keyboard/mouse, so does anyone know if the 2 differ much.

God its like talking to myself, but yeah i had the same issue i dont want ucat to distrupt my studies any further, so for me i didnt move mine up because i could only move to 6 more days and i might not be able to put these days in good use due to school load so i didnt move mine and now i dont have an option to, if u got the same issue then look on the bright side, we can still again next year if this year we dont get the score we want and we wont be starting from the scratch like this year. also we can use the gap year that we would have to work on our cv or get a jist of what its like in a medical setting. thats what i tell myself so i dont get absolutely heart broken if i dont make it this year. lets just give our best and keep a positive mind set for the future

About qr, i cant tell u how right u are. i feel like everyone u ask how u should revise for it just gives u a vague idea of just flag it or do the easier ones but these day all the mocks i am doing its just so many wordy qr questions i have gone down to 500 but i am hearing everywhere that the actual ucat qr is alot easier so hopefuly this is the case this year
