Speech and Language Therapy career and university starter

Hello!

I am a mature student starting a BSc in SALT at the University of Manchester this September. I am super excited!

Anyone else out there in the same boat? or is studying the subject or is a graduate here or elsewhere?

I was just wondering if anyone can recommend any ways I can prepare myself for this course? eg, any specific books you recommend?

Someone on here suggested 'A Career in Speech and Language Therapy' but then somebody said it is hopelessly out of date?

Any advice or guidance is appreciated.
