Transferring unis

Hi I am in my second year studying chemistry but I am considering transferring to a uni that does a chem with maths course instead. I have taken optional modules in maths so would I be able to transfer directly into second year ?
And if that is possible would I have to take a year out and apply again since It is very late now or would they allow transfers into this year this late ?
