low ucat score

i have a low ucat score of 2510 :/ band 2 sjt, but achieved all 9 for IGCSE's and am predicted a 45 for ib (bad day for the ucat :frown:)
i am planning to apply to UK med schools as an international applicant... any advice?

I've looked at some lower scoring UCAT med schools and these are my current choices:
1) Queen Mary University of London (Barts) *
2) Queen's University Belfast
3) University of Lecister / Liverpool (not sure)
4) University of Nottingham
*'reach' schools

Hi! Hopefully your application went well! I was wondering if you could share where you applied/where you chose? I have my UCAT in 2 weeks and don't think I'll score very high. Thanks!

I have the exact score as that but with a band 1 and have been told it is not a bad low score it is an average score so there is still a good chance of getting into medical school as long as your personal statement is fantastic and grades are really good

yes u always always always need to reflect on anything u have done be it work experience or volunteering somewhere or playing some sport and then say what this links to medicine and how these vital skills are applied throughout medicine that is the most important thing with the medical personal statement REFLECT on your skills and experiences, don't try to make a super amazing opening just start with WHY and inspiration

english - but i do go to a grammar school. thank you sm!
Ok so I know u may not wish to go to Scotland cause of how far it is and the weather lol but I highly recommend checking out Aberdeen uni as it has a good record for accepting scores on the lower side even for internationals and RUK applicants if u have strong grades, keele, sunderland uni I have heard r good in England but sadly don't know much about english ones

do you know if keele look at predicted grades? i read that they don't but surely that's too good to be true - especially for medicine. my predicteds aren't that great. since i go to a grammar school, it's so ridiculously hard to do well.
