Gift year
Hi there I’ve just finished my foundation year however I have to retake one of my modules , I was told it would be a gift year and have received my maintenance loan which I need for rent but was told there’s a chance my funding could be returned do I still get a maintenance loan if I retake my module ??

Hi Maddy, yes, your maintenance loan is not affected by your previous study (as long as you've not gained a qualification). If you've made an application you'll be assessed based on the length of the repeat module once the university confirms this to us. Thanks, Jason
