Contextual offers are lower grade offers made to those who have had some sort of educational disadvantage - this policy is known as 'widening participation' in Higher Education. Each Uni manages this differently - and their criteria for 'disadvantage' will also be different. This means you will have to check very carefully for each of your intended Unis.

Typically, Unis use home postcodes (areas of social/economic depravation and/or where few people go to University) and will include other categories like refugees, young carers, those leaving Care, Free School Meals etc, and usually those who take part in their own 'schemes' or from national WP schemes like Seren, Sutton Trust etc. BUT, yet again, each Uni will be different, so again you need to check very carefully on each Uni website.

Some Unis will drop offers by one grade, some by two grades in non-specified subjects - but, yet again, every Uni does this differently.
