How do I make my bf buy me things

Lemme explain my bf never buys me anything not even meals I usually split it. I never ask for anything as I been taught to be independent and provide for myself but I do wanna be spoiled sometimes and my bf never spoils me. He is nice but he just never gets me anything bear in mind he does have money.

For me a good relationship is about exchanging gifts, rather than splitting things equally, so I see your point. Perhaps he just has a different outlook on this. Maybe role model the way you’d like things to be and also discuss it openly with him
