A-Level History Students: The Source Question

Hi,
I'm currently in Year 13 (Year 12 everywhere else) studying A-Level History.
I do generally well, except in one area: The source question (aka the ones where you're given a source and have to explain how useful/reliable it is to a historian.)
I just can't seem to get a grip on them. Any tips?

I use this acronym for provenance:
TAMPAX
T - time
A - audience
M - motivation
P - place
A - author
X - (e)xplain

I'm midway through writing an A-level exam technique guide so you are welcome to read it at:

www.myhistorytutor.com

Scroll down to the exam technique guide section.

I'll be updating it every few days with additional content. The next content added will be specific examples of how you can analyse source and comparing its value to the other sources.

Hope it helps.
