choosing the right UCAS referee

So I want to apply for mechanical engineering in UCAS does my referee have to be a maths or physics teacher or can it be anyone who taught me for A-levels . I am resitting privately as an independent candidate.

It would be whoever the school chooses. Usually a personal tutor or head of year.

You would need to ask but schools will sometimes have a designated member of staff dealing with references.
