Recieving PIP and Student Maintenance Loan

I have been told by a friend that recieving PIP will affect my maintenance loan, however I am not sure how this all works. I am planning to call both PIP and SFE when they are open about what I should do. In the meantime, I would love some advice, or if anyone else knows the situation better than I do.

PIP isn’t taxable or earned income. It doesn’t count towards household income.
PIP isn’t income assessed.
Depending on your circumstances the higher limit of income assessed loan is larger for students claiming some benefits.
