Consider pre-med in the US as a UK student

I was wondering but I am starting my a levels in September and I am really interested in going to USA I have done to reading and I think that attempting to do pre-med in the US after a levels will make it much easier for me if I want to apply to top universities in the US as I would be able to get MD and some other things. I also wouldn't have to meet a bunch of prerequisites if I did an undergrad degree in the UK. The only things I am unsure about is 1) what universities should I apply to for pre-med and if I do get in will it be clear on how to apply for post-grad to top universities in the US? Also how hard is it to actually get a job after doing said undergrad?

Side not: I do have a close cousin who lives in the US and I find US a nice place that I would stay in long term.

I'm not any expert in medicine, but some of the best pre-med programs to go into include Johns Hopkins in Maryland, Duke University in North Carolina and Stanford University in California. (According to Google, anyway)
I'd assume if you're going into medicine you have rather high grades, and depending on where your cousin is located I'd take that into consideration when you apply to a med school in a certain state. You apply to each university separately on their website and your college essay must have a heavy emphasis on what you can contribute to the school community (any past activities you contributed to are important here) and then you'll need to get a VISA which is easy enough if you live in the UK.
