why do men like putting down my looks?

hey, i'm ish and i'm 15, turning 16 this year. i wouldn't consider myself 'insecure' however some comments on my appearance really unsettle me. girls my age have called me pretty, so have quite a few guys. however, sometimes, some guys just start dissing my appearance with comments like "stfu fattie" or "you're so ugly". now, these comments don't usually faze me, however they're often very out-of-the-blue. i'm just wondering if it means that i'm actually ugly or if they're just hatin cause they bored.

You'll generally find that boys say a lot of silly things. They're best ignored until you find the mature ones.

Hey Ish,
I've been through similar stuff where people made harsh comments about my appearance, and it definitely stung, even if I knew they weren’t true... It sounds like these comments are more about their own issues or boredom rather than your actual looks. You’re getting positive feedback from others, and that’s what really counts.You're beautiful <3

Whoever is saying such bad stuff are idiots. They are jealous in someway, or just plain morons. Ignore them i am sure you are beautiful and dont let them undermine you at all. Any boy wrth knowing would look at the WHOLE You, not just one part anyway.
