Yes you are. I'm anonymous because I know several Muslim guys who have boyfriends (and therefore obviously have sex), but they still pray to Allah and believe in most of Islam, so yes, it's definitely allowed

Being gay is not allowed. Seriously, this is what I hate the most. People making up their own reasons and assumptions to stuff they think they understand but don't. smh

What!? Why would a girl talk to other guys if they are married!? XD

It's called socialising.

Since when was Guy friends ever appropriate you dumb ****. If she ever talks to a guy online smake that bitch[/QUOTT

The fact that you disrespect me and call me a dumb bitch just because my opinion is different to yours is probably why you will never find anybody decent let alone have good friends.

Perhaps your interpretation of friends is different to mine. Fix your attitude, no wonder some people have negative views on Islam, because of people like you, I don't blame them for being atheist.

If youre a guy and youre talking to me online shouldn't you be smacked too? The hypocrisy of it all.

Forget it, I'm not here to argue with rude narrow minded people like yourself.

No it is not allowed. Dont make dumb accusations you IDIOT

They do it and they're Muslims while still remaining pious so it is allowed and they believe it's allowed.

lol exactly, its like people are making it out like you can't talk to a guy without having sex with him. People need to chill, clearly they've never had a legit friendship with somebody of the opposite sex. Do you think children are as fickle as this? obviously not, and why? Because its really not that deep, so stop making it deep.

Yes it is allowed. You say you hate people making their own reasons, but you yourself are making your own assumption that it isn't allowed whereas they are making the assumption it is.

Would you marry a Muslim girl (hijabi, practicing) who has social media, and posts pictures of herself and friends online (not inappropriate pictures just normal pictures) and interacts with other guys and girls online?

This is atrocious, how dare you have a social life. Disgusting.

ok. the op wasnt making thier own reson for it being not allowed. it isnt allowed. they clearly havent studies isma properly because it isnt allowed just as the other abrahamic religions such as judaism and christianity. They are gay, but therefore, they are not following islam correclty, making them not proper muslims. this stops them from being pios so therefore you are incorrect.

OK. maybe not post pictures of themselves, because guys can get attracted to them without knowing there married (personally i wouldn't see my self doing that). But talking to the opposite sex, online and often maybe no, because they could geet too close, but sometimes- thats alright.if they just talk or like are colleges then i guess its OK. i am really just in the middle.
But that goes for the guys as well or its just hypocritical.

you think im incorrect and i think youre incorrect. Your reason is no more valid than mine or the practising gay muslim I know. And dont bring christianity into this as the comparison is rubbish. most christians are completely accepting of homosexuality and gay sex and there are even openly gay priests etc. and 2 wrongs dont make a right.

sigh. No one but Allah can judge if a person is muslim or not, so I can't say if he is muslim or not. A murderer could break the law by killing people by night and curing people in a hospital during the day, the fact remains: he is still breaking the law.. Same thing applies, he could possibly still be a muslim (Allah knows best) but he is still breaking the 'law'' taught by Islam

I am saying that the action that guy is carrying out is not allowed or haram. This is not an assumption or opinion. It is written in the Holy Quran (see story of prophet Lut) and in the Hadiths, a quick google search will prove this, but for the time being this should satisfy you:

"We also sent Lut : He said to his people : "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you? For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds." Qur'an 7:80-81

Just a quick tip for the future: if you aren't sure of something, don't post it. Especially on a topic such as this. I don't mean any ill regard towards you, just respect:smile:

no. i said that abrahamic faiths don't allow gay people.
however, people still are gay.
obviously these are old religions and they would have traditionally thought that being gay was wrong.
so therefore you are incorrect as i said that it is not allowed but people are gay.
emphasis on the "are".
so. if i recall correcxtly, you incorrectly claimed that it is allowed, wheras i opposed that, but you went off in a tangent and started talking about how people are gay. it isnt allowed but people are gay. as for your freind, he either hasnt fully understood islam or he has decided he will go against that rule, as it is inrolerant. although it isnt allowed i still tolerate gay people.

your comparison with christianity is wrong. the bit about being gay is in the old testament which is no longer relevant to christians. jesus said nothing about homosexuality.

meh, just as you can think what you like, so can they and they'd think youre wrong and incorrect. theyre very pious and one of them has the most extensive knowledge about the quran and islam that ive ever come across and he still has a boyfriend and gay sex.

Alright, so obviously guys will pop up to her in her inboxes, and obviously men being men - try to flirt, and it's all down to whether she flirts back or blocks them. And we live in a generation of social media now, it depends really. It's down to your opinion, if she's practising and qualifies for everything else , then yeah it's alright - try taking her phone once and see if she objects!
