Dissertation

I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand, I'm a third year student studying English Literature and I'm starting to write my dissertation, The Evolution of Ancient Greek Mythic Discourse. I was wondering if anyone knew about any good sources or authors talking about:
Epic poetry, oral tradition or religous text in regard to myth
The popular methods of documentation for modern religious beliefs

Finding it a bit tricky to find good sources about these things for my bibliography, thanks in advance!

How did you pick your topic and did you have a discussion with your supervisor? If you are stuck that is the first thing to do. They will help you to identify practical and suitable sources.

I picked my topic based on two modules, one I took in my first year and one from the second. Luckily my supervisor is the module tutor that I had for both, which comes in handy, and I've had a couple of tutorial sessions with her about it. The only problem is my university recently changed its library systems so that it makes accessing journal articles or books very difficult, particularly with sourcing (it's a nightmare), so I'm having to look round other places like Google Scholar or JSTOR. So was just wondering if anyone doing something similar for a module or dissertation (I know it's a bit of a long shot) had any experience with any good sources that might come in handy

That doesn't address what I asked you to do which is talk to your supervisor about how to get hold of suitable resources with the access you do have. They do research so will know. It's unlikely that anyone on here can help as dissertations are meant to be specialist. Google scholar and JSTOR also use uni access. You need to work out what sources you need and then whether you have access to it or not.
