i was not allowed to have boys on my phone, not allowed to go out without permission even down the road or something, screamed at me all the time, hit me with a slipper

My mum has a temper on her and is quite strict, her ways don't work on me tho cos I'm old enough to do what I want and I don't tend to listen to her anyways lol. My dad is fairly laid back however.

i don't hate anything about my parents, but yes they were strict.
early curfew and even now when i go home to visit i think they want to impose a curfew.
couldn't do much on Sundays because it was the Sabbath
no dating till i was 18
no alcohol even after 18
at 12 they told me i was too old for birthday parties
