Best University to go to?

Which University is the best to go to amongst BATH, BRISTOL, LOUGHBOROUGH, GLASGOW, AND HERTFORDSHIRE to study aerospace and aeronautical engineering? I'd like to find out more about their placement programs, student life (one that is quiet and calm but still has nights for fun), the ones employers prefer, and also the one with good support from lecturers. Please help open my eyes to the best uni, all aspect and factors considered.

My opinion 1. Bristol (Best reputation both internationally and in the UK, nice city and also good nightlife) 2. Bath/Glasgow (bath is better ranked in the UK but Glasgow is better internationally) 3. Loughborough 4. Hertfordshire
Hey @NNgosa,

I understand that choosing what university to go to is a really difficult decision - at the end of the day, you need to choose the university that is right for YOU. I can't comment on the other universities but hopefully I can offer some insight into studying at Loughborough University, as I have studied both my undergraduate and master's degree there

From my experience, you really get a sense of the #LboroFamily and the community feel when you step on to campus. All staff members/academics are all really welcoming and approachable and you get the feeling they really want you to succeed. The campus also feels safe and really is a home away from home!

The University campus has lots of places to relax and chill with friends on campus, with Hall common rooms and numerous coffee shops. Although Loughborough town is small, there are lots of things to do and it is only a short walk or shuttle bus ride away from campus! The town has lots of pubs and a few nightclubs, there is plenty of things to do and lots of different places to socialise. Leicester and Nottingham are also only a (very) short train journey away so you can get the best of both worlds, with a town and cities nearby. I never really found a need to leave campus, especially in my first year as campus had everything I needed.

I hope this helps - if you have questions, I'm more than happy help!

ridiculous question, what are u studying .... interests .... u don't pick a uni based on what others think are the best , go where u like most!
Loughborough is the best
For what subject?

What are you looking for in a university?

Providing some context might help people come up with some better informed answers, as opposed to just based on league table data.

Hi @NNgosa,

No problem - I'm glad it was helpful! Loughborough University's skills, guidance, placements and employment support is highly regarded by both students and employers. Loughborough has excellent links with high-profile companies and industry experts -previously, we have had students complete placements at organisations such as Amazon, BT, Coca Cola and Dyson! You will also have access to support from the award-winning Careers Network throughout your studies to help students secure a placement.

Hope this helps, Ella
