Never date someone the the same name as someone who hurt you?

Heard this phrase a number of times from my mates, does anyone else believe in this, beacuse if that's the case i can't date any Charlottes or Lucy's

Lucy and me is a complicated situation, tried going for two charlotte's and it got no-where

Note i didn't date these girls but i was still hurt

I'm sorry this just seems a tad childish. I don't think you can pre judge somebody based on their name only. If you get dumped by a girl with brown hair, does that mean you can never date a brown haired girl again? Or if a girl with blue eyes cheats on you, are girls with blue eyes also out of the equation? You need to take each individual as you find them. And no I haven't heard of that expression, if it is actually one, then its up their with the stupidest things I've ever heard!!
