SFE is paying the wrong university

Originally, I thought that I would be going to Glos University. I said as such on my SFE application. When I accepted my place at Sheffield Hallam, I had forgotten until a letter arrived saying that my application had been approved and money for Glos will be transferred into their account.
I've sent a new application off, but it says it'll take 6 weeks to process.
What if it doesn't come on time?
Was sending another application a good idea?
