UCAS predicted grades

Im currently in y12 and am predicted BBC, with a C in geography (i want to do geography at uni). I am applicable for contextual offers, but they are mostly BBB (kings specifically). Is it a possibility that I could still get into a rg with high entry requirements?

It is possible, but it does make it much harder - you'd need a great personal statement for starters to convince them you can get the grades needed.

It may be beneficial to speak to your schools geo department and see what you can do to get that C up to a B.

'RG' is not important for something like Geography - its more important that its a course that has units that you want to study for three/four years, and one that is achievable with the grades you are likely to get.

These are all good non-RG Unis that excel at Geography :
Sussex - https://www.sussex.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/search?q=geography
Plymouth - https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/courses?q=geography&course_type=undergraduate&commit=Search
Aberystwyth - https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/dges/prospective/undergraduates/#geography-earth-&-environmental-sciences
Swansea - https://www.swansea.ac.uk/undergraduate/courses/biosciences-geography-physics/geography/
East Anglia (UEA) - https://www.uea.ac.uk/search/courses/?query=geography

Thanks so much! I spoke to my geo teacher and he predicted me a B, as he believed I underperformed in the UCAS mock.

I'm so glad to hear it! Good luck with your application!

Still look at McGinger's list for decent backup options though, just in case. You'll need a range of offers to pick a contingency from.
