Do you know if it worth doing work experience/placement that is about maths? The degree I want to do is CS related however that placement is math useful to do for my ps. Yes Or no?

Unis are not actually that interested in work experience for academic degrees (ie. not something vocational like Nursing or Dentistry) - but if you want to do it for general interest go for it.

They are far more interested in 'why I want to do this subject and only this subject at degree level for the next 3/4 years' - with examples of how you are starting to develop more specialised interests and are moving away from just the A level syllabus.

Look at the extra reading etc on this list from Cambridge - good for all Unis - https://www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/sites/www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/files/publications/super-curricular_suggestions.pdf

And do some of these Moocs (free short online courses) over the summer holidays
