How can I work from home with noisy neighbours
They live downstairs from me. Will noise cancelling headphones work? Could I get a soundproof rug?

Depends how noisy they are. Do they play loud music or do diy constantly? Headphones help but perhaps have a word with them. They may not realise that you can hear them and that you work from home.
