The Student Room Group

missed offer

Sending begging letter to a university is a total waste of time. All it will do is delay decisions for others and you will get a flat no.

Universities receive their results about now. They work through them. All those that meet their offers will be accepted. For those who have missed their offers it will depend on how many have met them and whether there is still room. If there is room then they will look and see which near misses they can accept. If you are not one of these that is the end of matter and no matter how big your begging bowl is you wont get in and it will be time to look elsewhere.
Universities don't give leniency to applicants who ask for it. They operate fair admissions processes that look at all applications against set criteria. If they have space and the grades are still suitable for entry to the course then all applicants with similar missed grades will normally be accepted.

Emailing asking for leniency is a waste of everyone's time.
