Find friends

I am 36 years old and have lost touch with my school friends. I don’t really have any hobbies as such. I was wondering if there are groups/ sites you can join that go to musicals, plays, watching football, go to the pub etc. my main interest are pc games, football, theatre, watching tv. I live not too far from London.

Hey! Nice to meet a fellow 30 something year old on here  I have heard of an app called 'meet ups', perhaps google it. But I've not used it myself. I do often have similar thoughts, about not having hobbies or mates to hang with, but have found myself making new connections in different ways lately. I've stopped saying no to so many impromptu work socials (I'm not great when things are last minute, and inclined to say no but saying yes a couple of times has been good). Do you have any similar opportunities to socialise through work? Just wondering - do you play football or only watch it? Or ever considered joining a gym? Sports and gym classes seem like a good way to make adult friends. I managed to make a few new friends myself by going to a gym class. It was hard at the start but now really enjoyable and good for my overall health. There will be so many people in the same boat, open to making new friends, it's just finding them... Good luck and let us know how you get on!
