'Widening Participation' is the overall context term for increasing socio-economic and other forms of diversity at UK Universities.
'Contextual offers' are the targeted lower grade offers made by Universities as a method of 'widening participation'.
'Access Schemes' are also part of an individual University's commitment to 'widening participation' but may target specific under-represented groups or areas of their local community etc.
