Parents on benefits

Both parents are ill and on benefits and i’m looking at where it asks for parents taxable income but they don’t get taxed so it would be 0 or something? it’s really confusing and parents don’t know either, if someone is in the same boat or knows anything about it will help!
It depends what benefits they’re on. Some are taxable (even though they might be below the threshold to pay tax).

The DWP should have sent your parents a P60U in April each year listing their taxable income for inclusion in your household income form

Hi there,

You would need to check if your parents benefits are taxable or not. If they're taxable, you would put this on the form. If they're not taxable then you would put £0.00.

Thanks,
Claire
