Change of mind. Firm choice with accommodation

What happens if you accept your firm offer and accommodation but change your mind. My daughter was set on her dream course and accepted her offer and accepted her accommodation. So we paid the £250 but she is now feeling uneasy about it. She now what's to do her 2nd choice offer which is local to us. She feels she will not cope being away from home for 4 years. Is this easy to change and would we receive the £250 accommodation fee back we paid. It's only been a week but she has looked around the 2nd choice university and feels she will be more comfortable there. Especially as she can stay at home. Many thanks
