Childcare grant and part time work
Hi, I’ve just completed my student finance application for an unsalaried ITT course for 2024. I have 2 young children, so have applied for childcare grant. My husband works full time, and from what I understand our entitlement will be based on his income. I was just wondering if any part time work I do during my course will affect how much childcare grant we would be entitled to? Many thanks, Karen

Hi Karen,
We don't take the students income into account unless your employer is releasing you to attend your course, or it's unearned income.
