placement year abroad
Has anyone ever done a 1 year placement abroad during their university studies? How was the experience? Do you have any advice?

My son did just that, when he was an undergraduate in German. Hope this link below helps. It is a chapter he wrote himself, about his time at Oxford. It includes the course and the year abroad. He didn't like it much (wanted to do something other than teaching, but didn't manage it). But still, it may be useful.
