Advanced Learner Loan Write-Off after completing an Apprenticeship Degree?

Hi.

If I take an advanced learner loan for an Access to HE course, the government writes off the balance after completing any recognized degree course.

Does this include Apprenticeship Degrees?

For example:

-I study a one year Access to HE in Engineering.
-I complete a 4 year apprenticeship degree in Engineering.

Is the balance of the Access to HE written off? (even if the company funds my degree)

Thank you.

Hi there,

If you have done a Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) approved Higher Education (HE) Access Diploma course funded by Advanced Learner Loans and then complete the HE course, the remaining balance of your loan, including interest, will be written off. The Learning Provider will be able to confirm whether your course is QAA approved.

Thanks,
Claire
