Can a course be full if it's in clearing

I was rejected by my Extra choice because the course was full, yet it's listed as in clearing on the Uni website? Surely in that case it cannot be full?

Hey, when was you rejected? There couple be a couple of reasons though why it is now in clearing.

1 - On June 8th everyone who did not accept their offers were released which would of freed up spaces.

2 - The course may have had students withdrawing their offers and therefore opening up spaces for it to be put into clearing.

You would need to check with the University though

They may have rejected you because your grades were not high enough - and its now in Clearing to find those who have higher grades.

Also - important - some Unis / courses may have Clearing places for International applicants only.
