Can I go through UCAS clearing without a reference?
Unfortunately, I don't have a reference as I am a mature student and I haven't been in education for 4 years. I resat my a-levels this time without going to college or using a tutor so I am completely self-taught, that's why I don't have a reference. I recently quit my job so I didn't feel comfortable asking for a reference from them and besides, my manager no longer works there. Is a reference required? Yes, last minute... I know, I was going to apply for 2024, but wanted to try my luck through clearing if possible.

BUT if you can get a reference from your old college as a pdf you can send to universities directly that would be helpful. Your college will almost certainly be open tomorrow if you ring them up and will have enough information on file to provide you with a basic academic reference.
