Feeling Lonely - should I try dating again?

So, as the title says, I've been feeling lonely recently and just want to vent a little. A little bit of backstory for this: I'm 22mn and doing a masters. I'm overweight but doing my best to lose weight, but I've been feeling really lonely since December, even though I talk to friends daily, see and talk to family fairly regularly, and go to sports training 3 times a week to blow off steam.

I guess I have two questions, and any advice or input is welcome.

Should I start dating again or focus on my masters, which ends in September?

How do other guys deal with loneliness?

I would do both, put in some time for going out and socialising as well as studying. Life is about more than work and a balance is very important for happiness. Your exercise sounds great, good for mind and body.
The loneliness of being single can tough. I’ve found that actives to look for a partner that are in themselves enjoyable are a good bet as even if it takes time, which it does, you’re still getting enjoyment. Going to pub, hobbies and volunteering are much better than dating apps

I would agree with the post above to do both - having a relationship could make you feel happier and much more motivated to continue on, leaving you in a better mood rather than when you're lonely!
Good luck with your masters!
