Extended funding due to nursing placement

Extended funding due to nursing placement

I'm a 3rd year student nurse. My course is due to finish 2nd September 2024 however due to needing to make up placement hours I will be in placement only until the end of Novemeber 2024. Can I apply for an extra maintenance payment due to doing an extra 2 months in placement. Each placement costs me around £500 and as I'm doing 38 hours a week I cannot work on top of this. Hi Kate,

The university would need to send us a Change of Circumstances to confirm that your course has been extended. We can then re-assess your entitlement for the Long Course Loan to see if you are eligible for more funding.
