Funding for a second degree (NHS - Therapeutic Radiography)

Hi,

I have previously had funding for three years (fees and maintenance loan and grant). I am hoping to study therapeutic radiography and I am wondering what happens with finance? I know SFE will fund the fees and that I will receive the NHS bursary but would I be eligible for a maintenance loan still or not, Due to previous study?

Hi, please confirm the university name.

The NHS bursary has stopped, you may be able to apply for the NHS Grant instead https://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/nhs-learning-support-fund/training-grant

I will be attending BCU. Thanks for the information, however I am still wondering whether I’d be eligible receive a maintenance loan?

There is no "therapeutic radiography" course on the database at this university.

Hi,

For the 2019/20 and 2020/21 AY we will fund the following AHP courses;
• Chiropody
• Dental hygiene (Honours degree, diploma or foundation degree)
• Dental therapy (Honours degree, diploma or foundation degree)
• Dental hygiene and dental therapy (Joint or dual honours)
• Dietetics
• Dietetics and nutrition*
• Midwifery (Degree or diploma level)
• Nursing (Degree or diploma level)
• Nursing and social work** (Dual honours)
• Occupational therapy
• Operating department practice (Degree or diploma level)
• Orthoptics
• Physiotherapy
• Podiatry
• Prosthetics and Orthotics
• Radiography
• Radiotherapy
• Speech and language therapy

You will be funded for a Radiotherapy course as long as you are not already registered in this field. The NHS Grant will not affect how much SFE funding you can receive.
