Do you think she ever liked me?

I cut contact with her some years ago because I didn’t think she liked me back.

I got in touch with her and she told me that she’s never quite felt the same since what happened. That she’s had issues with her relationships and that it badly affected her.

She also said “I like the idea of us trying something together but I’m afraid of the result”.

She likes you the way a man likes his first dish of sushi.

He remembers the dish of sushi as being the best, unique, something that sets the trend off.

Then he dips into many more dishes of sushi.

Down the line, he longs for that long lost passion from his first dish. He tries to go back to that first dish of sushi, to where it all began, only to find he has had superior sushi and longs for something more.
