Relvance of question parents living abroad over last three years

Hi

My daughter is applying for student finance, she is a UK citizen and has always lived in the UK. However, over part of the last three years I was on an international assignment, but my daughter stayed in the UK as a boarder. We noted the question about whether your family lived abroad over the last three years. What is the relevance of this question? does it effect her eligibility for fees and basic maintenance or only for full support?

Any insight appreciated.

Thanks J

Hi J, you being abroad won't affect her eligibility. However if you were working abroad then you will be required to provide your overseas income on the paper application form http://ow.ly/d/8pbp and attach evidence of your earnings. The form can be uploaded online in the students account.
Thanks, Isaac
