Student finance made a mistake, please help !

hey guys,
So i logged onto my online account the other day and found out that my middle name is wrong, this is definitely not my fault! I even sent them my birth certificate as evidence, when applying for finance. So I rung them up the other day, and they told me to send a cover letter and a copy of my birth certificate. I sent it last Friday, its been nearly a week and it's still not changed. I am so worried, as I need to take my entitlement letter into university on my first day back, for evidence. If a replacement letter, with my right name, hasn't been delivered, would it be okay to take in the current letter I have (it has the wrong middle name. my first name, surname, and address is correct though?)
