Hi! I applied to UCLans' Medicine with a foundation year course and I just received an interview. In the email they stated that it was going to be held online. However, after booking the interview the confirmation email said that it will happen in person. Has this happened to anyone else? I am so confused.

Hey, so I got an email from the university, stating that it would be face to face this year.

Hi Adhrit, thank you for the reply. 
I think we got the same email! After submitting the question on here I received an email from UCLan clarifying that it was going to be in person. Did your initial invite also say that your interview was going to be "remote"? And out of interest, when is yours taking place? Mine is next Wednesday! Feeling a tad bit nervous about it. All the best!

All the best!Hi Elster, I actually had applied to both the 5years standard course, as well as the 6 years foundation pathway, and fortunately got invited to attend interviews for both of the programs, and funnily enough, I only got an email to book the interview for the 5 year pathway, and not the foundation one, so I reached out to them and they still haven't replied back(been almost a month now), but out of the blue, I got an email saying the interview for the foundation program will be face-to-face, all the while still not having any way to actually book the said face-to-face interview. I have my interview for the 5 years pathway on 16th of April, in Dubai, so I am preparing for that.

Ohh wow, I didn't know one could apply to both. That is great, well done to you! I have actually noticed that they are quite slow at responding to emails unfortunately. Maybe your 5 year interview will also be the one used for the 6 year course. By that I mean, that if they feel as though an extra year will benefit you more they will give you the offer for the 6 years even though the interview was for the 5 years. Good luck with the interview! You have got this.

Hi Ama24!
I’m one of the current MBBS students so I thought it would pop on and give you some of my tips for interviews!
The best way to prepare for MMI’s is to have a look at the applicant guide that is posted on the university website which details what to expect from your interview (I’ve linked it below). There’s also plenty of resources online about general MMI questions such as the medic portal which are super helpful!
