What is a Special Support Grant?

I just got an email from Student Finance that I needed to upload some benefits evidence but not of what, I already sent my Universal Credit info for the last three years to prove I'm an independent student. When I logged on to see it says I need to prove my special support grant but I'm unsure of what this means.

Hi Lou,

This refers to the Special Support Loan, which is a higher Maintenance Loan.

Do you have any children? Or, do you currently claim any disability or employment-related benefits?
